How much will it Cost?
Do you take Private Health Insurance?
It is common for Acupuncture and Bowen Technique to be included in health insurance policies, but you will need to check your health insurance policy wording. In order for you to claim, I can issue you with an invoice with which you can claim directly with you Health Insurance provider.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on a number of factors including:
- the type of condition
- how long it has been present
- lifestyle factors
but I generally suggest new clients to consider committing to 3 sessions, a week apart. This is generally enough time to see if the condition will respond to the treatment. Occasionally just one or two treatments are needed, and sometimes more than 4 are needed. Some people like to have regular ‘maintenance’ treatments once the initial condition has been addressed, but it is always up to the client to decide.
Acupuncture and Bowen Technique seem to help many of the same conditions. How do I choose which to have?
It is true that they can be used for many of the same conditions. If you’re not sure, I can suggest the most appropriate modality based on your symptoms and history. Sometimes I combine both in one treatment if I feel it is appropriate.
What do I need to know before my treatment?
For Bowen, the treatment can be performed over light, loose clothing, so please try not to wear tight, thick or restrictive clothes.
If possible, it would be appreciated if you could refrain from using strong perfume on the day of your treatment.
What do I need to know after I've have a Bowen treatment
Please have a look at the Bowen Aftercare page for advice.
Cancellations/Rescheduling
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling, otherwise, half the fee of the treatment will be added to your next visit.
